TrackScan v1.0
This tool is currently being developed as part of a Master of Science thesis. The aim is to deliver a tool with a modular structure. This means that it consists of a base that contains the user interface and connects the various components. And several plugins that are added over time and only need to implement one interface to work in the overall system. Each plugin ensures that a tracking method is recognized and provides the base component with information about the elements found. It also enables the blocking of a tracking element if the user selects this via the user interface. At a later stage, the source code will be made available as a repository so that users can develop and submit further plugins for it. At the moment it contains three plugins. One for detecting malicious cookies, one for detecting malicious network requests and one for detecting canvas fingerprinting.
