Google Translate Engine v1.3
A Google Translate search engine integrated with Google's autocomplete API via x-suggestions. Like other good OpenSearch engines for Firefox, it will guess what you're trying to type and offer common completions to display in the search/url bar results. Since search engines can only pass a single user-defined parameter, the query, the other parameters are predefined. This means the source language and target language are both always set to auto.
So you begin typing a given query that you want to translate such as "trad" and Google will guess that the input language is Spanish, and then will guess that you want to type something like "traductor" or "traducir" and will offer these as autocomplete suggestions. If you click one of them, it will navigate to Google Translate with the chosen query typed into the input box.
Google Translate will then guess the target language (the language into which you're trying to translate the query) based on your previous behavior on Google Translate, or perhaps if you have a Google account it will choose whatever Google's big brother identity tracking system has deduced to be your primary language. If you usually use English or if English was the most recent target language you manually selected on translate.google.com, it will translate "traductor" into English and you'll get "translator" as your result.
This extension also includes a custom icon with context properties so it can be made to look good with both light and dark themes.
